Pregnancy is a season where motherhood quietly deepens. As a baby grows, families begin shifting in small ways as they prepare to welcome someone new into their story.

This maternity photography session took place in my natural light home studio in Bountiful with a mother and her two young sons. The boys stayed close to their mom throughout the session, full of curiosity and excitement about the baby who will soon join their family. Moments like these are always special to witness, as siblings begin forming their connection long before the baby arrives.

Studio maternity sessions allow families to slow down and focus on connection. With soft neutral tones and simple styling, the attention stays on the bond between mother and her children during this beautiful season of waiting.

Many families who come in for maternity portraits later return for newborn photography in my Bountiful studio once their baby arrives.

A Motherhood Thought

One of the most beautiful parts of motherhood is watching the family grow around each new child. Siblings begin learning their role long before the baby arrives, and love quietly expands to make room for someone new.
