Pregnancy has a quiet way of changing everything. There is a stillness that begins to settle in as a mother prepares to welcome a new life, a gentle awareness that something beautiful is about to unfold.

This maternity session took place in my natural light home studio in Bountiful. Most of the portraits focused on the mother as she honored this season of carrying her baby, with a few moments shared with dad as well. Studio sessions allow space to slow down and simply notice the beauty of motherhood before the baby arrives.

Soft, neutral tones and simple styling kept the focus on connection and the quiet strength of motherhood. These sessions are never about elaborate posing, but about preserving the feeling of this season before life changes in the most wonderful way.

Many families who come in for maternity portraits later return for newborn photography in my Bountiful studio once their baby arrives.

A Motherhood Thought

There is something sacred about the waiting season of motherhood. Long before we hold our baby in our arms, love has already begun to grow in ways we cannot fully explain.
