Utah Maternity Photographer | Salt Lake City Maternity Photography Glimpse

It’s never too early to start your search for a Maternity and Newborn Photographer.
There are many photographers and every photographer offers something different.

Here are the top 6 things I encourage you to think/ask about when looking for the right photographer for you.

1st Question to Ask:  When is the best time to book?

My Answer:  Generally, you want to wait until your second trimester to book your session, and sessions take place between 27 and 35 weeks.  Timing usually depends on if it’s a singleton or twins+,  if you are high risk, or are known for early delivery.  Our goal is to time your maternity session when your belly is nice and round, but before swelling kicks in, however, I do everything in my power to work with you no matter how far along you are.

2nd Question to Ask:  Trying to find something to fit my changing body is so stressful. What do I wear to my maternity session?

My Answer:  I understand the stresses of shopping for wardrobe when we’re not pregnant, let alone when our bodies are changing daily and you have no idea how big your belly may get, what will fit, what will look good on you, and what will photograph well.
So I’ve got you covered, LITERALLY! I have a gorgeous Client Wardrobe with carefully selected pieces that I know will fit, photograph well, and provide the soft intimate look you see on my site.
We get together like old friends, try on different clothing items and just play.
You fall in love with 2 or 3 outfits? No worries! Let’s photograph them all!  Not only does my wardrobe reduce shopping stress, it provides variety in your gallery, and saves on cost.

3rd Question to Ask: Can my family attend?

My Answer:  YES! Whether it’s a maternity session, newborn, milestone, or Cake Smash, Your family is welcome and encouraged to attend. While your body is changing, your family is changing too and I find it important to include them in this beautiful season of change.

4th Question to Ask: Do you provide Digitals or Products?

My Answer: My sessions start off with designing your own digital collection, picking the images you love most AFTER your session. Then when they are delivered, you receive a beautiful digital gallery where you may download your images and print where you like, however, your gallery also includes a Shop with amazing professional quality products, from albums, loose prints, framed prints, and even gifts like holiday ornaments and calendars.

5th Question to Ask: What if I want to capture my baby’s growth, do you give multi-session discounts?

My Answer:  YES, Absolutely! You may join my Motherhood Collective Membership where you receive special goodies and multiple sessions discounted to document your baby’s first year + of life.
My Motherhood Collective has become very popular and often extends into the second year of life.
The most common sessions are Maternity, Newborn, 6mo, 1 year with Cake Smash, and 18 months.

6th Question to Ask:  How long are your sessions?

My Answer: I want to provide as stress-free experience as possible for my mommas, and I find timing a session not only add’s stress to mommas, and leads to meltdowns from children,  it becomes less personal and I feel “pressure to perform”.
One of the many reasons I love having a studio in my home is when we have a session here, the clock is not ticking.
When we get together, this time is for you!
I only book one studio session a day and sessions begin in the mornings, so we have hours before my littles get out of school, and this time is yours!

On average, Maternity sessions last about 1 hour, and newborn sessions last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
(this includes picking out your wardrobe items)

There are many more questions that can be asked and so many more topics I’d love to discuss, so if you are even curious about my services and/or pricing, just fill out the contact form and I will send it all your way!
Then after looking it all over, we can chat via email or phone call,  and discuss any questions you have.

The above clothing is provided by My Studio Wardrobe and is available for your session.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

TEN years ago, I held my very first "Celebrating Motherhood Event"—just a quick complimentary session as a thank you to my past year mamas who trusted me with their memories.

And here we are, a full decade later… still celebrating, still giving mamas a moment to be in the photos with the little ones they love so dearly.

This year’s garden-inspired setup is soft, simple, and full of feeling.
A canvas backdrop kissed by dappled light, a cozy bench, and a basket of hand picked pampas grass.

The Best Part!
This event is free for all my VIP (past-year) clients—a little gift from me to you.

If you’re not a VIP client you’re still warmly invited to join us for a small fee.

“Newborns and Chaos”
Your newborn doesn’t need silence.
They were born into a family, not a quiet studio.
Big siblings bring life, movement, and joy into these sessions—and honestly, I love it.
We’re not aiming for calm. We’re aiming for connection.
The Only Thing That Increases in Value Over Time

Most things lose value as they age—cars, clothes, furniture.

But printed photos? They gain value.

That photo of your baby’s first smile? Worth a little now.

In ten years? Priceless.

In twenty? Irreplaceable.

In fifty? The most treasured thing you own.
You won’t always remember the exact sound of their tiny newborn cry.
But you will have these images to remind you of how little they once were, and how much you loved them from the very start.
The Last Time Always Comes Quietly –

One day, you’ll rest your hands on your belly for the last time, and you won’t even realize it.

The last time you feel the tiny flutter of kicks inside you.
The last time you instinctively cradle your bump, protecting the life growing within.
The last time you wonder who they will look like, what their cry will sound like, how your heart will stretch to love another.

Pregnancy feels endless some days, the waiting, the discomfort, the anticipation of what’s to come. But then, before you know it, it becomes a memory—a season you can’t step back into, no matter how much you might want to.

Hold onto these moments a little longer. Soak in the quiet nights where it’s just you and them, heartbeats intertwined. Because one day, the last time will come, and you won’t even know it.

Mamas who have been here before—what’s one thing you miss about pregnancy?
