I’ve photographed all three of her babies—maternity, newborn, and now her baby’s 1st birthday.
She won’t be able to attend our Celebrating Motherhood event this year, so during her session this week, I gave her a little piece of it—a quiet, private version, just for her. Before the cake came out and we celebrated one year around the sun, we took a moment to celebrate her.
And I’m so excited to see what next week brings as more mommas come through for this year’s event.
This event is my way of saying thank you to the mothers I’ve had the honor of photographing in the past year. Some years, the schedule is packed. Other years, it’s just a handful of moms who can make it.
And honestly? There’s something really special about those quieter years.
When it’s small, we slow down. We breathe a little deeper.
There’s space to truly soak it all in.
It becomes less about the hustle and more about the heart.
And those are some of my favorite moments of all.
TEN years ago, I held my very first "Celebrating Motherhood Event"—just a quick complimentary session as a thank you to my past year mamas who trusted me with their memories.
And here we are, a full decade later… still celebrating, still giving mamas a moment to be in the photos with the little ones they love so dearly.
This year’s garden-inspired setup is soft, simple, and full of feeling.
A canvas backdrop kissed by dappled light, a cozy bench, and a basket of hand picked pampas grass.
The Best Part!
This event is free for all my VIP (past-year) clients—a little gift from me to you.

“Newborns and Chaos”
Your newborn doesn’t need silence.
They were born into a family, not a quiet studio.
Big siblings bring life, movement, and joy into these sessions—and honestly, I love it.
We’re not aiming for calm. We’re aiming for connection.
The Only Thing That Increases in Value Over Time
Most things lose value as they age—cars, clothes, furniture.
But printed photos? They gain value.
That photo of your baby’s first smile? Worth a little now.
In ten years? Priceless.
In twenty? Irreplaceable.
In fifty? The most treasured thing you own.
You won’t always remember the exact sound of their tiny newborn cry.
But you will have these images to remind you of how little they once were, and how much you loved them from the very start.
