Welcoming a new baby into the world is always such a special season for families. This sweet baby boy came into my studio in Bountiful, Utah for his newborn photography session at just a few days old. These early days move so quickly, and newborn photography allows families to remember just how tiny and new everything felt.

This little one was wide eyed and curious for much of the session, quietly taking in everything around him. Some newborns sleep the entire time, while others prefer to observe the world for a while before settling in. His calm and curious nature made for such beautiful portraits, especially during the moments when mom and dad held him close.

One of my favorite parts of this newborn session was capturing the connection between this new family. The way parents instinctively lean in close to their baby is something that never gets old to photograph. Those quiet moments between parents and their new baby are often the images families treasure most as the years pass.

This newborn session was photographed in my natural light studio located in Bountiful, Utah. I regularly photograph newborn sessions for families from Bountiful, Davis County, and throughout the Salt Lake City area who are looking for simple and timeless newborn portraits.

Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first two weeks after baby arrives, when babies are still tiny and naturally curled. Many families reserve their newborn photography session while they are still pregnant so a space is saved on the calendar.
