Newborn Photographer in Utah | Tran Glimpse | Salt Lake City Newborn

There are a few photographic moments in life that we don’t get a do-over.
If we miss it, it’s gone.
Your Wedding Day is one of the tops acknowledged days to photograph, and it needs to be done right the first time.
There are no do-overs.
All the expenses of flowers, table tops, dresses, decorations, and twinkle lights matter in the end if you have no way to remember it.

Newborn’s Sessions are another session that makes it to the top of the list of importance to document.

Newborn sessions are a bit different tho because when you are getting married, it feels more simple to get a photographer hired and then forget about it and just have them show up and do their job.
And you get to focus on all the rest of the details that are going to make those photographs beautiful.
Your dress, location, and decorations.
The photographer really doesn’t have much to do with any of that.

But what about your newborn session? Do you just hire and forget about it until the day of?
And unlike weddings where we are focused on all the details to make a beautiful environment TO photograph, we can be so preoccupied with setting up the baby’s furniture, painting walls, cleaning the house, baby showers, Dr. Visits, our health,  sleepless nights, swelling ankles, and overall physical and mental exhaustion…
Then when your baby is here, your focus turns to the natural pull of what you feel is best to keep your baby warm, safe, and loved.

This is most likely one of the least desired times in your life when you will want to go dress shopping!
You can work for months on fitting into your wedding dress,
But have no idea what will fit after you have your baby, what will photograph well, what will look good with your family…
AND
Who wants to shop and drop a lot of money on a dress they may only ever wear once? (not including wedding dresses)
So what do you do?
Dread your photo day…
You look in your closet and pick out your best “good enough”  and call it a day, all the while feeling a sting in your body that you are paying good money to capture this once-in-a-lifetime newborn phase and you feel like you might look like crud.

That doesn’t work for me.

This is the TOP #1 reason why I offer wardrobe to my clients.
I want to take that stress off of you!
My strongest advice to ALL my mommas is to first come in for a Maternity Session, Why? Well for one, to capture that time in your life too! Once it’s done, there is no going back to those moments, ever!
BUT
So you can also prep for your newborn day.
Look at your Maternity Session as a Newborn Prep Orientation Day.
Come in, see what I have, pick out dresses (because who wants to try on a bunch of dresses with a new fussy baby at their feet), photograph a few beautiful pieces on you, and see what you love most (because most likely, you’ll only have enough energy to wear one dress during your newborn session, and you want to make sure you love the color tones and patterns with your skin and hair color. You may realize you want a particular necklace with a dress I have, or that you need to pick out a totally different pair of pants for your partner.
We get rehearsal dinners when we’re getting married as a kind of a “Practice Run” before it’s Go Time.
So offering a rehearsal session before your new baby is here is an excellent way to ensure things run smoothly.

Now let’s chat about my Wardrobe.
One of my favorite sounds, when a new momma shows up, is the gasp when she sees exactly how many beautiful items she has to choose from to design her perfect session.
I have brought in the most beautiful pieces that I know will fit a variety of shapes and sizes, as well as photograph well with my studio and style.
My dresses range from Needle & Thread, Rachel Pally, Doen, Nothing Fits But, and Free People, to VICI, Baltic Born, Morning Lavender, and even some amazing Amazon Finds, And so many more!

So tell me, do you agree that one of the biggest stressors for having your family pictures taken is selecting what to wear?

TEN years ago, I held my very first "Celebrating Motherhood Event"—just a quick complimentary session as a thank you to my past year mamas who trusted me with their memories.

And here we are, a full decade later… still celebrating, still giving mamas a moment to be in the photos with the little ones they love so dearly.

This year’s garden-inspired setup is soft, simple, and full of feeling.
A canvas backdrop kissed by dappled light, a cozy bench, and a basket of hand picked pampas grass.

The Best Part!
This event is free for all my VIP (past-year) clients—a little gift from me to you.

If you’re not a VIP client you’re still warmly invited to join us for a small fee.

“Newborns and Chaos”
Your newborn doesn’t need silence.
They were born into a family, not a quiet studio.
Big siblings bring life, movement, and joy into these sessions—and honestly, I love it.
We’re not aiming for calm. We’re aiming for connection.
The Only Thing That Increases in Value Over Time

Most things lose value as they age—cars, clothes, furniture.

But printed photos? They gain value.

That photo of your baby’s first smile? Worth a little now.

In ten years? Priceless.

In twenty? Irreplaceable.

In fifty? The most treasured thing you own.
You won’t always remember the exact sound of their tiny newborn cry.
But you will have these images to remind you of how little they once were, and how much you loved them from the very start.
The Last Time Always Comes Quietly –

One day, you’ll rest your hands on your belly for the last time, and you won’t even realize it.

The last time you feel the tiny flutter of kicks inside you.
The last time you instinctively cradle your bump, protecting the life growing within.
The last time you wonder who they will look like, what their cry will sound like, how your heart will stretch to love another.

Pregnancy feels endless some days, the waiting, the discomfort, the anticipation of what’s to come. But then, before you know it, it becomes a memory—a season you can’t step back into, no matter how much you might want to.

Hold onto these moments a little longer. Soak in the quiet nights where it’s just you and them, heartbeats intertwined. Because one day, the last time will come, and you won’t even know it.

Mamas who have been here before—what’s one thing you miss about pregnancy?
