Motherhood Collective l vol. 7

Every year, January 1st, I wake up with a new hope for a great year. I joyfully start to search inside my soul to see what goals I can make to enrich my life. This year my resolution included taking more pictures of me with my kids, another was to become a younger me. Yes it’s possible! Healthier eating, exercise, and a better attitude. Well we are past the halfway mark and I have to say I’m proud of my progress. Had you seen me a year ago you might agree. Sometimes being a mom, working a full (plus) time job, and running a photography business, well… “everything self” kind of takes a back seat. Seriously I went an 8 month stretch without getting my hair done. I gained 15lb (and I was already overweight), and life was wearing on me. I was tired All-The-Time. Working sometimes from from 5am to as late as 3am. I felt I had no time with my family either. I might have been a little bit of a mess. (it happens). So this year I planned vacations with my family, with my husband, and with my girlfriends. I’ve gone to more movies this year than in the last 5 put together. I’ve worked with some close friends on self discovery and soul cleansing, and have also started working out, eating clean, and taking on less work and giving myself to my husband, kids and ME. I-Feel-FANTASTIC! I’ve lost some of my weight, I’m looking and feeling younger, and I’m happy! Not just the kind of happiness that comes when the scale says I can be 😉 but the soul cleansing confident refreshed kind of happy! I’m so excited to keep my resolutions going and see where this year takes me!

These are the first memories of their lifelong relationship. What a beautiful place to begin.
The tiniest details feel like they’ll stay forever. Then one day you look up and they’ve changed. Moments like this help you remember the version of them you held in your arms today.
There’s a stillness in this in-between. A quiet before the new beginning. That’s worth honoring.

How I Take the Stress Out of Finding Outfits.

I’ve already done the work for you. |

My client wardrobe is filled with beautiful, timeless pieces that are ready for you to wear.

How do you feel about borrowing from a studio wardrobe? Do you prefer to bring your own? or just show up in your yoga pants and decide the day of your session?

My Complimentary Maternity (aka: Newborn Orientation) sessions are a way to try on and pick out clothing for your newborn session.
Making sure you are photographed in what you love, even if it is in your own clothing!
You don't want to find out you dont love what you wore AFTER you've had your newborn session.
One day, you’ll forget how soft their skin felt against yours, how their little fingers played with the hem of your shirt, how their baby curls framed their face.
But a photograph will bring it all back, as if time never moved at all.
