Planning Your Newborn Session: When Should You Book?

Planning your Newborn Sessions

Bringing a new life into the world is a momentous occasion, and as a motherhood photographer, I understand the significance of capturing those early moments with your little one.
When it comes to booking your newborn session, timing is crucial.
Let’s dive into the question of how early you should begin Planning your Newborn Session session.

The Sweet Spot: PLanning your Newborn Session in the Second Trimester

The best time to reach out and secure your newborn session is during your second trimester of pregnancy.
This period, typically between weeks 13 to 27, offers several advantages. Firstly, it allows you to plan and coordinate with Julie Sheriff Photography in advance.
Newborn photographers tend to have busy schedules, and booking early ensures that you can reserve a spot around your expected due date.

Flexibility is Key

Booking during the second trimester also provides flexibility.
While you may not have an exact date for your baby’s arrival, you can work with us to establish a tentative timeframe.
This flexibility allows you to be well-prepared without the stress of last-minute arrangements.

Ensuring Availability

When Planning your Newborn Session,  it’s important to keep in mind newborn photographers often limit the number of sessions they take on each month to provide a high level of personalized attention to each client.
By booking early, you increase the chances of securing a spot with us, ensuring you can capture those tender moments with your newborn.

Tailored Planning Your Newborn Session

Booking ahead of time also enables you to discuss your preferences and ideas for the session.
This collaborative process ensures that your vision for the session aligns with the expertise of Julie Sheriff Photography.

Eight years of tradition.
Eight years of families walking through these doors, year after year.

Some of these kids have been coming since they were babies. Some have grown up and moved on, and that feels just as meaningful. Being a small part of their childhood memories is something I’m truly grateful for.

Here’s a glimpse into a full day of quiet moments, nervous smiles, whispered conversations, and the calm magic that happens before Santa even says hello.

I’m deeply grateful to the families who trust me with this tradition, and to the Santa who has shown up year after year and become part of so many childhood memories.

When I first started this, I had no idea how it would be received. I’m so grateful it’s become part of so many families’ holiday traditions.
These are the first memories of their lifelong relationship. What a beautiful place to begin.
The tiniest details feel like they’ll stay forever. Then one day you look up and they’ve changed. Moments like this help you remember the version of them you held in your arms today.
There’s a stillness in this in-between. A quiet before the new beginning. That’s worth honoring.
